What to See
Jungle Visit: The park is accessible mostly by the Madla Village gate. A ride on a jeep is definitely the best way to explore the entire park region. However, jeeps aren't available from the park, so you would have to make arrangements on your own. Popular sightings during this trip would include tigers, leopards, sloth bears, sambar, chital, deer, hares and jungle cats. Alternately, try an Elephant Safari, which lasts about an hour and affords close views of the predator. An exceptionally interesting way to watch some of the most interesting nocturnal animals would be by a Night safari at Gangau. The trip, which takes place at the reserve forest, lasts about 4 hours and guarantees sightings that you're unlikely to see at any other time. Also visit the Hinouta Gate, which is the most convenient point for exploring the Diamond Mines closeby.

Ken River: The Ken River thrives in maggar and gharial and the Forest Department arranges hour-long boat rides, which guarantee you sightings of crocodiles basking in the sun. Alternately, some jungle lodges also organize anytime trips to the river. Angling can also be done on the river, though prior permission is needed from the Forest Department.

Pandava Falls: Located 6 kms from Panna, these falls derive their name from the believed that the Pandavas spent time in a cave here. While the 100-ft high fall can be seen anytime, it is particularly stunning during the monsoon.
Gatha Falls: Accessible from the highway, these falls gush down almost 300-ft and are particularly beautiful during the monsoons.
Padmavati Devi: Also known as Badi Devi Temple, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Padmavati. Popular belief has it that the Goddess is alive and hence would always protect the prosperity of the town. This temple is especially busy during the Nav-Durgotsava festival in October.
Mahamati Prannathji Temple: This is one of the most prominent temples in Panna, dedicated to Prannathji. The temple is intricately designed and sports almost 201 domes and a bright golden kalasha. Watch the entrance of the main sanctum, which is made of pure silver. The temple is the hub of all activity during the annual Sharada Purnima.
Baldeoji Temple: Created in a gothic-style, the temple sports a large hall on a raised platform and with a number of intricately carved pillars. The main image of Lord Baldeoji is made of black marble.
