Tarkarli beach: This long stretch of crystalline sand and shimmering clear waters is an excellent getaway for the city-dwellers. The breeze is soft and heavy with the scent of salt and you can just lay back and relax to your heart’s content. Adding to the scenic beauty of Tarkarli beach are the tiny hamlets situated nearby. Watch out for dolphins as dolphin sightings are not rare here.

Anganewadi: Anganewadi is a hamlet in Malvan that is famous for its beloved Bharadi Devi fair. More than two lakh pilgrims visit the Bharadi Devi temple during the fair held in February every year for her wish-fulfilling powers. Going to this fair is a great way for you to mingle with the locals and get them to tell you stories about this religious spot!

Rock garden: A short distance away from the Malvan Jetty is the gorgeous Rock Garden. This is a beautiful place to unwind and watch the sun go down with your loved ones.

Medha: A famous astrologer and creator of the popular ‘Kalnirnay’ calendar transformed his old family house into a grand Ganpati temple here. The idols inside this temple are all gold plated and during sunrise the rays of the sun bathe the beloved Ganesha in a warm light.

Dandi Beach: Around 3 km from the Malvan bus stand is the Dandi Beach where you can get a little adventurous and opt for a completely guided scuba diving package that lets you dive near Sindhudurg Fort for 20 minutes.
