Best Time to Visit: The summer months are the best to visit Dalhousie as the weather is pleasant and you can enjoy sightseeing and other outdoor activities. Winter blankets this region in heavy snowfall so even though the weather is inclement the place looks exceptionally surreal and beautiful.

Clothing: If you're visiting Dalhousie in summer, pack some light woollen clothes just in case the nights get chilly. Winter months call for a lot of heavy woollen and thermal wear in order to keep warm. Don’t forget to carry your sunglasses, sunscreen and a first aid box, and also an extra shopping bag in case you pick up some souvenirs from the streets of Dalhousie.

Moving around: The best way to move around in Dalhousie is by foot. But if you prefer a mode of transport then you have many buses plying in the region so going from one place to another is taken care of. The roads in Dalhousie are quite narrow and steep so big SUVs and other vehicles have to move really carefully, but smaller cars and motorcycles are the preferred modes of transport here. Other than that, you can also opt for horse rides so you can also have some fun while you’re moving around.
